Today feels like the first day of my vacay, even though I was off Friday. I could think of no better way to spend it than enjoying a bowl of hot oatmeal and watching the zumba DVDs I received back at my Zumba Basic 1 workshop that I haven't had the time to watch yet. I can't believe it's taken this long.
I decided on breakfast around this container of Honey Roasted Fresh-Ground Peanut Butter I picked up from Whole Foods last Friday.
We had some bananas that were starting to speckle brown, so I decided to add one in, since I like the taste of bananas and peanut butter.
There's something about mashed fruit that kind of grosses me out, but the only thing worse than mashed fruit is half-mashed fruit.
So, I tried to mash the bananas pretty good.
I added them to the pot with milk, water, and flaxseed and brought to a boil
Soon enough, I had breakfast ready and just had to select a DVD to watch.
I decided to watch more than 1 and watched the Basic Step DVD for Merengue (because mine sucks and needs help) and then popped in Cardio Party Live.
Dude, these people are working it out! HOW are they not sweating?!
Mashed banana, extra thick oats with a spoonful of Honey Roasted PB on the side. The banana was so sweet, I didn't even add extra sweetener. I love being able to use natural sweeteners.
Ahh...I should have breakfasts like this more often!
Great food and great entertainment!
I'm baking cookies with friends later and possibly exchanging curtains at Pottery Barn thanks to the comments on my curtain question post. You guys rock!
mmm your oats look extra delicious today :)

yum, fresh pb! does the 'sell by' correspond to the day you grind it? i'm sure it's good way past the date, but just curious!

Yup - you're exactly right! The 18th is the day I ground and bought the PB. I didn't even notice that!
I'm with you on the quasi-vegan thing...haha. I can eat meat and vegan meals, right? Right! :)
