Hubby spent most of today watching football with friends.
I picked up hubby who was hanging out with his bachelor friends and delivered a batch of our White Chocolate Chunkies for their Christmas gift. One batch successfully delivered...hooray!
When hubby got back, we decided to venture over to our new neighbors house to deliver their welcome-to-the-neighborhood batch of White Chocolate Chunkies.
Just as we were getting ready to leave, our doorbell rang. Our neighbors were dropping off some homemade apple pie! I think my good karma is coming back around! Yay!
After chatting with our pie-delivering-neighbor for a bit, we headed over towards our new-neighbor's house. On the way, we passed the neighbor on our other side. We struck up a conversation with them and got invited inside to see their house. Their house looked amazing with a lovely, wide-open inside and gorgeous kitchen. We chatted it up with them for a bit before heading over to new-neighbors house. We successfully delivered batch #2 of our White Chocolate Chunkies and even got invited inside their home, too. Our new-neighbors moved into their house a couple weeks ago. The inside of their house was completely done - they were totally moved in! Seeing how finished their house was made me feel like a domestic failure. lol. We don't seem to even have ONE SINGLE room complete!
The new-neighbors were lucky and didn't have to do any renovations...I don't think they even painted! So, I guess I shouldn't be so hard on myself for not having anything set up, but STILL!
Wow, first my camera goes away to be fixed for possibly a whole month and now I'm feeling behind on getting my house set-up. Ugh!
On the upside, we got some nice QT in with our neighbors, which made home feel more like home and that is pretty awesome. I can't wait to have them over for drinks and dinner soon!
We didn't expect to be away as long as we were. Thanks to my early prep-work, dinner was actually ready to eat when we left, but luckily, it was all in the slow cooker so it stayed nice and toasty. I had rice cooked up but it was in a rice cooker, so it was also quite warm.
(taking these photos tonight with my point and shoot is making me miss my DSLR already!)
Nothing like a Sunday pot roast! This one contained grass fed beef and organic celery, organic carrots, and organic onion. I think the potatoes were organic too but can't remember.
I got seconds on veggies, with a bit more rice and tiny piece more pot roast.
Dessert was apple pie (duh!) with some skim milk.
Yum-O!
So nice getting to know and hanging out with neighbors. I'm glad they all seem so nice so far!
glad you have good neighbors :)
