I decided to work from home today.
I love working from home because:
- It's eco-friendly
- It saves me time in commute
- I can work in PJs
- I can control my temperature better (no frigid office-hello space heater!)
- I can cook a hot lunch
- I can more easily drink all the hot tea I want
I decided to start the day with a hot breakfast:
Chopped dates and sliced banana
Extra thick oats + Unsweetened cocoa powderCooked stovetop
Brewed gingerbread coffee with whip
Morningstar "sausage"
Yummy oats
You can follow these basic directions for cooking, but for ingredients, I added chopped dates, sliced banana, 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder, almonds (on top).
I went for some Teavana hot tea in the morning, just before lunch.
Matevana
paired with Rooibos Macadamia
All together
STEEP! Hammer Time!
Perfect with Earthfare Organic Premium Pure Cane Sugar.
Top down
Perfection
I decided to give the Velveeta Shells & Cheese another try - this time in Original. I also zapped some TJ's Soycatash in the microwave for 2 minutes and then stirred in a wee bit of real organic butter.
The mac and cheese wasn't as good as I remember. I guess I'm not as big on processed cheese as I used to be.
I did get seconds though. :)
I had more hot tea post-lunch - Celestial Seasonings in Peppermint this time.
I'm off work now, but still have lots to do!
House Update
Our sink/disposal is currently clogged up (thanks butternut squash peel!). We thought hubby fixed it this afternoon, but....alas...it appears to be royally messed up this time. Not sure what we're going to do about that. :( Waaaah
Holiday Cookie Challenge Update
I've updated my Holiday Cookie Challenge page with some entries. If you have an entry and don't see it there, email me or leave a comment on my cookie challenge post and I'll add you.
Holiday Party
Tonight is my company's Holiday Party!!
I'm looking forward to my holiday party but I have no money to put towards a new dress, so I'm going to have to shop my closet tonight and figure something out from what I already have. I may have to go LBD.
Gotta go wrap our Dirty Santa present.

Those oats look so good!
I recently re-tried the velveeta shells and didn't feel 'em either. Kind of glad I outgrew the processed cheese taste!
