I slept in a little late today and my soon-to-be-stale loaf of bread was calling my name.
I have to admit, for days when I'm a bit on the late side, PB (or almond butter) toast is a great go-to. Peanuts and wheat are one of the food combos that amp up nutrition that I blogged about awhile ago.
I usually pop my bread in the toaster while I make my coffee (getting the coffee pot set up is the FIRST thing I do in the AM - I could set it up at night, but...well...I just don't). I usually get a couple sips of my cuppa joe before the toast is ready for a topping.
Todaty, I toasted up some Great Harvest Bread Company bread in Dakota.
On top, I added about 1 tbsp of Trader Joe's Valencia Flaxseed Peanut Butter.
In the spirit of my Weekly Food Challenge, I added some black chia seeds on top. I really hardly tasted them OR noticed their added texture (prob b/c the peanut butter and bread were already a little on the nutty side). I should probably do this more often!
That's super-simple entry #2 (here's the other one) for the WFC...what are you making?
Looks so yummy!! I wish I could eat almond butter at every meal I love it so much!!

I wish there was a Great Harvest Bread Company up north here - I keep hearing great things about it from a couple of bloggers.

Thanks for the kind words Alice Q. I concur, and therefore, the menu items that were off would not deter my patronage. Thanks for taking the time out to write it! I think spirituality is really important too, we certainly agree on that point. A leader without spirituality is missing a key element.

A James Bond like character, Detective Superintendent Antoine San-Antonio is a member of the French secret service and set in the 1950’s and 1960’s. A San-Antonio novel can be found in almost every bookcase in France and is truly a classic. Dard was born in Bourgoin-Jallieu in 1921 at 75, Rue de la Liberation where a plaque today notes his boyhood home. After writing more than 300 novels in total heasdf died in 2000 and is buried in the nearby town of Saint-Chef. His last novel “Napoleon Pommier" was published just three weeks before his death.
