I am totally behind on emails and blog comments, but am catching up today. This has been a kinda crazy week!
I'm happy to report that hubby seems to be going along with the organic delivery service as he hasn't mentioned wanting to cancel yet (yay!). We got an email with next week's delivery list, and I can't believe I'm this excited about fruits and veggies, but I can't wait till the yummy produce is here!
To be delivered next week:
-
Broccoli – local
- Sweet Potatoes – local
- Yellow Onions – local
- Green Leaf Lettuce – local
- Cauliflower
- Chard – local
- D’Anjou Pears
- Pink Lady Apples
- Blueberries
- Banana
We still have some fruits and veggies leftover from the last delivery, so we're going to have to make our way through some of those by next week so we don't have too much. I'm not worried...I could always use the fruits to make a pie or crisp or crumble. Yum!
Reader Question: What is your favorite veggie?
sweet potato, maybe? I do really like lettuce, as in salads, but it's not like I munch on naked leaves. raw broccoli and carrots. I was thinking about the versatility of celery last night. No joke, even though that sounds a little crazy. :)

I love most vegetables but sweet potatoes are my favorite - made any way - even plain baked. Its one of the most delicious vegggies in the world to me.
Second place are carrots.

Asparagus. I hated it for a long time, but in the last few years it's really grown on me.

What a great list of local fruits and vegetables. Sweet potatoes are my favorite whether grilled or roasted .
