Finding the chic in everyday life

I love eating, cooking, crafting, zumbaing, ice skating, and lots of other randomness.

First generation organic.

Since December 2008, I've lost 15 lbs and I hope to continue my healthy habits of nutritious eating + frequent, fun exercising.

this seems obvious, but my favorites are Shape, Self, Fitness, and Health.

Eat Drink and Be Healthy - by Walter Willett is one that's recommended quite a bit. I can't speak for it personally as I bought it and then never read it, but I had good intentions at the time.

Kath

LOVE SuperFoods!!!

I'm reading Intuitive Eating. You can borrow it when I'm done if you want.

Magazines I love = Body + Soul, Natural Health and Health. I hear Clean Eating is good but I haven't ever looked through it.

Amy

Intuitive Eating is very good.

Plenty is an interesting look at one couple's experience of eating locally for one year. Not a how-to, but a how-we-did-it. I wouldn't recommend buying it because the writing is not 100% my cup of tea and it's not like a book you'd refer back to over and over. But definitely a borrowing book.

Stealth Health is a Reader's Digest book that is a thick book full of little tips, not all about food. The idea is you can change your life by making tiny changes one at a time. You don't need a massive overhaul.

I normally like to reply to evone via email, but since could be a good discussion...

Ok, stupid question here, but is "Health" the same as "Women's Health" or is there a "Health" magazine, too?

Emily - I looked at 2 of those last night...need to note the other 2, thanks!

Erin - I totally ordered that book 2 weeks ago and the shipment was lost! *sad face*

Kath - I'd LOVE to borrow IE when you're done!

Amy - Stealth Health sounds like a book that I've secretly been reading and will post about this w/e, but it's right up my alley! I'll note those.

Thanks for all the recs guys, keep em coming!

:) Diana

Lys

I read Body & Soul from time to time but I've found Cooking Light to be a great read as well - very informative.
